Terms & Conditions

 

Specific and separate terms and conditions apply to each rental supplier. These can be viewed in the “Terms and Conditions” for each quotation that you receive from the online booking/quotation system.

Below are the general terms and conditions with EuBookings Ltd. / Worldwide Motorhome Hire and apply to every booking.

Please note that when you pick up your motorhome, you will sign a contract with the rental depot. In the case of accidents and/or disputes, you should contact the depot. We will endeavour to facilitate communications, but your contract is with the depot.

Payment Details

Deposits are generally charged at 40% of the total rental cost, (including extras). This deposit is payable on booking and can be paid by credit card (Visa or Mastercard ).
The remainder of the rental cost is charged to the credit card 40 days before the pick up date.
If the pick up date is 52 days or less from the date of booking, the entire rental cost will be charged to the credit card.
With prior arrangement, we can facilitate payment by bank transfer. Please contact us for more information on this.
A booking is confirmed only when all payments have been received.

Cancellations

No refunds can be given for rentals ended early, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date, even if cancellation protection is taken.
All cancellations must be made in writing, by fax or email. Date of cancellation is taken as the date that the cancellation request is received (working days only).
Cancellation of a booking incurs the loss of all monies paid unless Cancellation Protection is purchased.
Protected Cancellation Charges are specific to the rental supplier and can be viewed on the online booking system.

Cancellation Protection (CP)

Cancellation Protection can be purchased in order to reduce the cost when a cancellation is made. Details of the Protected Cancellation Charges are specific to the rental supplier and can be viewed in the terms and conditions on the online booking system.

Damage Deposits

All customers will be required to leave a deposit in case of damage, accident or theft.
Damage deposit amounts are determined by the supplier and can be viewed on the online booking system.
The damage deposit will be refunded after the vehicle has been returned in a suitable condition in accordance with your signed rental contract. If this is a credit card deposit, the refund may take up to 15 working days and will appear on your credit card statement.

Drivers Licence Requirements

A valid drivers licence is required for the collection of the vehicle. Additional drivers must also present their drivers licence. Specific drivers licence requirements are determined by the supplier and can be viewed on the online booking system.
It is the drivers responsibility to ensure that he/she has an appropriate drivers licence. No refunds will be given for rentals rejected due to non-production of a suitable driving licence.

Period of Rental

The duration of your rental starts and finishes according to the pick-up and drop-off dates and times detailed on your booking confirmation.
If you discover that you will be early or late for your arranged pick up or drop off time, please contact the rental supplier depot to adjust the time.
If you wish to extend the rental period before the vehicle pick up, please contact us and we will try to arrange the extension. If you wish to extend the rental period after collection of the vehicle, you must contact the rental supplier to arrange the extension. Permission and cost is at the discretion of the rental supplier and is subject to availability. If you return the vehicle later than stated on your confirmation, you will be charged locally at the local daily rate, which may be higher than our rates. No refunds are payable on cars returned early.

Pick up and drop off

Pick up and drop off are normally at the rental depot.
In some locations transfers to the rental depot can be arranged. Please see the online booking engine for details.

Additional Drivers

Charges often apply for additional drivers. These charges are specific to the rental supplier and can be viewed on the online booking system.

Flight Information

For airport pick-ups, it is essential that we are informed of the correct flight number, flight arrival time, and a contact mobile phone number (a phone that you will have with you during the holiday) at least one week before departure. This can be done either by email or by phone.

Driving Restrictions

Restrictions may apply when crossing country and state borders. Please consult the terms and conditions on your quotation/booking as to whether border crossing is permitted and what, if any, restrictions/charges apply.

Insurance

Insurance details and conditions are determined by the rental supplier and can be viewed in the terms and conditions for your quotation on the online booking system.

Vehicle type

We are unable to guarantee a particular make or model of vehicle. Only a particular class or category of vehicle may be booked. The rental supplier reserves the right to substitute an alternative, similar or upgraded vehicle if necessary (at no extra cost).
If it becomes impossible to provide your booked vehicle due to breakdown or an accident, a similar or upgraded car will be provided.

Vehicle Capacity

The rental vehicles are insured for a maximum number of passengers. We cannot accept responsibility if the vehicle is not large enough to fit all passengers on arrival if the correct details were not supplied at the time of booking. In the interest of safety this number must not be exceeded and if exceeded the insurance will be invalidated.

Mechanical difficulties/Accidents

In the event of any mechanical difficulties or accidents involving your car, it is important that details are reported as soon as possible to the rental supplier (within 24 hours).
The client is responsible for routine maintenance while travelling (coolant, oil, tire pressure) as well as reporting mechanical failure immediately. Clients may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence on operation and/or in performing normal maintenance.
