From October to March (spring to autumn) New Zealand becomes a food and wine lover's paradise - offering visitors an opportunity to tantalise their tastebuds and meet the locals behind it all.

For those wanting to tantalise their mind, there are events like The Wearable Art Awards in Nelson (held each September) where the designs are limited only to the imagination of their creators. Every second year New Zealand holds the largest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere, the International Arts Festival. The festival runs this year from February to March.

For the adventurous type, New Zealand won't disappoint. It is the home of endurance racing. The 240 kilometre Coast to Coast and the Southern Traverse entice athletes from all over the world to conquer the New Zealand terrain.
